2. Visiting the website and hosting
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit, your IP address is processed to deliver the page. Technical access data supports secure and stable operation. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the reliable provision and protection of this website.
According to IONOS's information for its Webhosting product, requested pages or files, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, access time and an anonymised IP address are recorded. IONOS states a retention period of eight weeks. Further information: Data processing by IONOS Webhosting.
IONOS describes WebAnalytics as a component enabled by default. Access data is processed for statistical analysis and technical optimisation; according to IONOS, without cookies and with immediately anonymised IP addresses. No analytics pixel is embedded in this website; analysis may use server logs. To the extent that personal data is processed, the basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, with a legitimate interest in technical optimisation. Details: IONOS WebAnalytics.
3. Cookies and local functions
This website does not set any cookies itself and uses neither Local Storage nor Session Storage. No external analytics or advertising scripts, embedded social media content or externally loaded fonts are included. Images are served locally and text uses the system fonts available on your device.
Your language and learning-goal selections are processed only within the open page. They are not sent to me through a form. Only when you select “Copy message” does the page write the displayed text to your clipboard. A transmission takes place only when you send the message yourself through a communication service. The copy function fulfils your explicit request (section 25(2), no. 2 TDDDG). Further information is available under Cookies.
4. Contact by email or telephone
On the contact page you can enter your name, email address, preferred language and message. These details are initially processed only within the open page and are not sent to the web server. “Prepare email” passes them to your mail app. I receive your enquiry only when you send the email yourself from there. Alternatively, you can copy the prepared text to your clipboard. The page does not store your entries permanently.
If you contact me, I process the contact details you provide and the content of your enquiry to reply and, where appropriate, arrange lessons. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other matters. The legitimate interest is handling your message.
The listed email inbox is hosted by Gmail. When you contact me by email, Google therefore also processes communication content and technical data. Google Ireland Limited is responsible for users in the European Economic Area. Google also processes data on servers outside the EU and describes the transfer mechanisms it uses in its privacy policy. Alternatively, you can contact me by telephone.
Contact details and messages are deleted once the enquiry has been fully dealt with and further retention is no longer required for performance of a contract, statutory retention obligations or the protection of legal claims. Providing information is voluntary; without the details needed to respond, I may be unable to handle your enquiry.
5. Instagram
The website contains ordinary links to my Instagram profile. Merely visiting this website does not establish a connection to Instagram through these links. When you open a link, you leave this website. Instagram then processes data under its own privacy rules. If you message me there, I process your profile name, message and the information you provide to handle your enquiry on the legal bases stated in section 4. The platform provider's information is available in Instagram's privacy section.
6. Your rights
Subject to the legal conditions, you have rights of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20). You may withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future; the lawfulness of processing carried out previously remains unaffected.
Right to object: If processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object under Article 21 GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time.
To exercise your rights, please use the contact details above. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the Member State of your residence, workplace or the alleged infringement. In North Rhine-Westphalia, you can contact the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information at www.ldi.nrw.de, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf.
I do not carry out automated decision-making, including profiling, in connection with this website.
